hey, it's been a minute...
I've done a lot of thinking, but not a lot of writing. Most of my thoughts lately have been for my dear friends. Here is something I wrote one morning after a long night. 

for my friend

Never have I ever felt something like this.

I have hurt in my own heart,
in my own head
but my heart,
it hurts for you.
and it cuts so much deeper to know 
that you
are finding yourself in the place 
I never want to be

it cuts so much deeper to know that it would take
24 hours nonstop
to get to you
to give you a hug
to see your face
cuts so much deeper to know
that your heart 
is cut deep
to know there is not really much I can do
to know there is a chance that you don’t know
just how overcome I become 
when I think 
of what you have to hold
it cuts so much deeper to love you

I love you?
